March Feral Swine Hunt FTX

March 15th (1800)  thru March 17th

Zaleski State Forest.

Plans are underway to hold a coordinated Feral swine Hunt in the Zaleski State Forest (southern Ohio). This will be a comprehensive event with map reading, land navigation, radio communications, and teamwork.

The OVC plans to provide transportation and meals for the event.  The cost is $10 per person for all food and transportation to and from the event.

All participants needs to have a valid Ohio Hunters license. Those that have never held an Ohio hunting license can obtain an apprentice license from your local Wal-mart or other outlets.

We will utilize multi-person tents for shelter and as a coordination center. Ham Radio equipment will provide radio communications for hunting parties in the field via 2 meter radio.

Since we will not be hunting during deer gun season, there is no stipulation on respective firearms used for the hunt, spotlighting or night vision technology.

The OVC reserves the right, for safety, to limit those who will carry live ammunition during the event. Sidearms for personal protection are acceptable.

Participants should dress for the weather and duration of the time while in Zaleski State Forest. Hunter Blaze Orange is not necessary.

We will be holding bi-weekly conference calls to discuse and coordinate this event. Feel free to join in by dialing the numbers provided  in the weekly OVC news bulletin.
