Gun Raffle Kickoff
As our all of our seminars are free to the public and we don’t require dues; we raise money for our events by offering an annual raffle and by working a few paid events throughout the year. The December 2012 raffle has been kicked off!
This years' raffle has the following great prizes: SIG M400 (1st prize), SIG P250 in 9mm (2nd prize), and a gift certificate to any of LMI's Street Combative courses www.lmiinc.com
(3rd prize). There are only 300 tickets and they are $10 each.
Winner need not be present to win. Wining ticket numbers will be posted here and the winners notified by phone. Cash equivalents for any of the prizes are available.
Firearms will be transferred by licensed FFL to the winning ticket holder only.
The drawing will be held at the Spencer Town Hall during our February 16th ham radio seminar.

OVC at the Akron Gun, Knife and Military Show
The Ohio Volunteer Corps. will be at the Akron gun, knife and military show
December 15 and 16. We will be selling long guns, ammo, donated military items, paracord bracelets, survival gear along with raffle ticket for our gun raffle. Please stop by and say hello and find out more about our organization.
OVC Sponsors Akron Marathon Relay Team
The OVC participated in the Akron Marathon Relay, a 5 person relay team. They completes the 26.2 mile marathon with a time of 3 hours 55 minutes and 2 seconds, finishing 358th out of 1240 teams. Good job guys and gal!
OVC WINS GRANT FOR COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT

The Ohio Volunteer Corps and its Pioneer Team are proud recipients of a Raising Richland Community Garden Grant from the North End Community Improvement Collaborative (http://www.necic-ohio.org/
). The grant will be used to help fund the OVC's outreach garden as a part of its mission to encouraging and support member participation in volunteer services to the state and local communities. The proceeds will be donated to local food banks and other outreach projects in Richland County.

The Ohio Volunteer Corps (OVC) is pleased to announce it’s official recognition as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. As a result, the Ohio Volunteer Corps is now in the preferred position of receiving public and private charitable funds. We can also assure our donors of the tax deductibility of all cash and non-cash donations to the Ohio Volunteer Corps and that tax deductible receipts will be provided for those donations. We are also eligible for both government and private grants that are available to tax exempt organizations.
